2. Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that Late Laxman, who was the husband of petitioner No.1 and the father of petitioner No.2, died in harness on 30.09.2019 he was working on the post of Hammer Man. Thereafter, the petitioners preferred application before the respondent authorities in the prescribed format along with the relevant documents for grant of compassionate
appointment to respondent No.2 on 18.10.2019 (Annexure P-2), however, no decision has yet been arrived at on such application for compassionate appointment. He would further submit that therefore, the respondent authorities may be directed to decide the application of the petitioners for compassionate appointment of petitioner No.2.
3. Learned counsel for the respondents would submit that the application of the petitioners would be decided in accordance with the policy of the respondents.
4. Perusal of the documents would show that the husband of the petitioner No.1 & father of the petitioner No.2 died on 30.09.2019. Thereafter, the application for compassionate appointment along with the relevant documents has been preferred vide Annexure P-2. Considering the same, it is directed that if the policy of the respondents allows the compassionate appointment to the petitioner No.2, who is the son of the deceased employee, the respondents are directed to decide application for compassionate appointment of the petitioner No.2 within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order according to the existing policy.
