Ignoring the defaults pointed out by the Office in the instant case, the matter was heard finally at admission stage itself with the consent of learned Counsels appearing for the parties.

The relief sought for by Petitioner is for appropriate direction to Respondents to consider his case for compassionate appointment. 3.

From the pleadings, it appears that the father of Petitioner was working under the Janpad Panchayat, Kunkuri and died in harness on 27.11.2006. The widow of the deceased employee had moved an application for compassionate appointment but the same was not decided or at-least there is no orders in this regard reflected from the pleadings. Subsequently, the widow moved another application on 8.2.2018 praying that her claim of compassionate appointment may be considered for her son i.e. Petitioner herein.

Further, the documents enclosed along with the present Writ Petition would show that there was already a correspondence made from the office of the District Collector, District Jashpur, dated 19.9.2018 (Annexure P-4), with a direction to the District Education Officer, District Jashpur to take appropriate decision on the claim of Petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment. However, thereafter, there does not seem to be any further progress in the matter.

Given the aforesaid pleadings with the Writ Petition, the Writ Petition at this juncture is disposed of directing Respondents No.3, 4 & 5 to take appropriate decision on the claim of Petitioner, particularly keeping in view Annexure P-4, dated 19.8.2018, at the earliest, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this Order. 6.

This Order would lose its efficacy in the event of Respondents have already decided the case of Petitioner allowing it or rejecting it. 7.
