1. The claim of the petitioner is for a direction to the respondents to consider her claim for grant of compassionate appointment.

2. According to the petitioner, her husband Vimal Kumar Chouhan working as Chowkidar under respondent no.1 is said to have gone missing from his place of working since August, 2010 and thereafter his whereabouts is not known to the petitioner.

3. Counsel for the petitioner refers to the circular of the State Govt. dated 31.12.2013 which provides for grant of compassionate

appointment to the legal heirs of those employees who are missing for the last more than 7 years. He submits that the petitioner has made an application to the respondents in this regard but till date no decision has been taken by the respondents.

4. Given the aforesaid factual matrix of the case as it stands, this Court is of the opinion that ends of justice would meet if the respondents 2 & 3 are directed to take a decision on the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment in accordance with the government circulars and rules prevailing, at the earliest preferably within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
