1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is the non settlement of the GPF amount payable to the petitioner upon his retirement.
2. The petitioner stood retired from service on the post of Head Master Primary School w.e.f. 30.09.2020. According to the petitioner as per GPF passbook maintained by the employer, he has a balance of Rs.2,90,421/- whereas, as per the GPF account of the petitioner maintained by the respondent No.3 there is a negative balance of Rs.8,03,786/-. According to the petitioner, the negative balance shown by the respondent No.3 is not proper as an amount of Rs. 2,90,421/- has already been further endorsed by the District Education Officer and other State authorities.

Given the fact that the entire dispute revolves around the providing fund account maintained by the respondents No.1,2 and 4 to 6 and other provident fund account maintained by the office of the respondent No.3, the entire dispute can be resolved subject to records of two establishments being verified and scrutinized after due verification of the service book of the petitioner in respect of all credits made to his GPF account and also in respect of withdrawal, if any, made by the petitioner during his service period.

Let the respondents No.2 to 4 along with respondent No.6 take necessary steps in scrutinizing the GPF account of the petitioner maintained in the office of respondent No.3 with the GPF account of the petitioner maintained in the office of the respondents No.2,4 and 6. Let this scrutiny be done within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The respondents No.2 to 4 and 6 are further directed to also call upon the petitioner to provide his explanation and details, if any, in respect of GPF account before taking a final decision for settlement of the GPF amount.
