The petitioner through the present writ petition claims for promotion from the post of Research Officer (Librarian) to the post of Director (Librarian).

According to counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner has already made representations in this regard to the higher authorities in the department i.e. respondent No.1 which is collectively marked as Annexure P/16.

The limited prayer that the petitioner has made at this juncture is for a direction to the respondent No.1 to consider and decide his representation in accordance with rules governing the service conditions of the petitioner.

The said prayer is not opposed by the counsel for the respondent No.1.

In view of the same, the present writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.1 to decide the representation of the petitioner in accordance with rules and regulations governing the service conditions of the petitioner at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6.
