The present petition has been filed by the Petitioner seeking for a direction to the Respondent - Corporation to consider his case for promotion to the post Revenue Inspector.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner is duly eligible for the post of Revenue Inspector, but the Respondent - Corporation has promoted him to the post of Assistant Revenue Inspector vide its order dated 07.12.2016.

A perusal of the record shows that till date the Petitioner has not ventilated his grievance before the Respondents by way of any representation. He has straightway filed the present writ petition seeking a direction from this Court. Thus, this petition cannot be entertained as the Petitioner has directly rushed to this Court without approaching the authorities.

Let the Petitioner first ventilate his grievance by way of suitable representation before the competent authority under whom he is discharging his duties and only thereafter, if any grievance survives the Petitioner can approach this Court.

The petition is accordingly stands dismissed reserving aforesaid liberty to the Petitioner.
