1. Heard.

2. The applicants have preferred this bail application under Section 439 of Cr.P.C., as they are arrested in connection with Crime No.289/2017, registered at Police Station Sarsiwa, District: Balodabazar-Bhatapara (CG), for the offence punishable under Section 20B of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, Act, 1985.

3. The applicants have been found in illicit possession of 127 kilograms of Ganja when they were traveling in a Verna vehicle by changing the number plate of the vehicle. This happened at about 9 a.m. on 25-11-2017.

4. Learned State counsel would oppose the prayer for grant of bail.

5. Although, the applicants are in jail since last more than 3 years but the fact remains that the trial is at its fag-end.

6. Considering the stage of trial, I am not inclined to release the applicants on bail. However, trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and complete the same at the earliest.

7. Let copy of this order be sent to the trial Judge by tomorrow i.e. 04-02-2021.
