1. The limited grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is that the application which the petitioner has moved before the respondent no.2 for allotment of a portion of government land which is in possession of the petitioner for quite sometime, has till date not been decided.
2. According to the petitioner, he has moved an application in terms of the recent policy of the State Govt. dated 22/25.06.2020. According to the
petitioner, though about 4 months have elapsed, the respondent no.2 in particular has not even registered the application for an appropriate proceeding and an order to be passed.
3. Given the limited grievance that the petitioner has, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioner, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondent no.2 to take a decision on the application of the petitioner for allotment of government land at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It is made clear that the authority while deciding the application of the petitioner shall apply the rules governing the field as it applies today in accordance with law. Sd/- P.
