1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been acquitted by the Jurisdictional Criminal Court in 19 to 20 matters but it has not been recorded in the register maintained in the Police Station- City Kotwali Ambikapur which may be directed to be registered in the said Police Station.

2. Learned State counsel submits that the Station House Officer of the Police Station will act in accordance with law.

3. I have heard learned counsel for the parties, considered their submissions and went through the records with utmost circumspection.

4. Considering the fact that the petitioner has been acquitted in the criminal cases, it is the duty of the Station House Officer to register the same in the record maintained in the Police Station strictly in accordance with law. Respondent No. 2 and the Station House officer is directed to do the needful expeditiously without further loss of time.

5. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition (criminal) stands disposed off. No cost(s).

6. A copy of this order be sent to the police station- City Kotwali, Ambikapur by e-mail/fax.
