1. The prayer in the present petition is for a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for regularization in service as per policy of the State Government and also for grant of salary and backwages from the date of regularization.
2. The respondents/State in the present case has come along with its reply and in the reply the State has also enclosed document Annexure R/1, a chart showing that the case of the petitioner has already been forwarded to the competent authority for taking an appropriate decision on the claim of the petitioner for regularization and that the said claim of the
petitioner for regularization shall be considered and decided by the competent authority at the earliest.
3. In the light of the reply filed by the State and also on the basis of document Annexure R/1 attached with the reply, this court is of the opinion that nothing further remains to be adjudicated upon at this juncture and the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents/State to take a prompt decision on the document Annexure R/1, dated 28.04.2014 forwarded by the Executive Engineer to the higher authorities.
4. It is expected that the authorities concerned shall take a positive decision on the letter dated 28.04.2014 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of a copy of this order. No order asto costs.
