(1) Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that petitioner has applied for voluntary retirement on 28.10.2015, which is pending consideration before respondent No.1 and, therefore, same may be directed to be decided within the specific
time frame.
(2) Prayer appears to be fair & reasonable.
(3) Accordingly, the respondent No. 1 is directed to take decision on the petitioner's application for voluntary retirement expeditiously preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
(4) With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition petition stands finally disposed of.
(5) It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the authority concerned shall decide the petitioner's application on its own merits in accordance with law.
