1. Petitioner is working as Assistant Professor (Political Science) in the department of Higher Education, Government of Chhattisgarh and is presently posted in the Government Danteshwari Women's College, Jagdalpur. She has preferred this writ petition for a direction to the respondents to consider her case for grant of senior pay scale w.e.f. 22.12.1997 and thereafter to consider for grant of selection grade pay scale w.e.f. 22.12.2002.

2. Shri Dewangan, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has preferred number of representations to ventilate her grievance, however, the representations have not been considered till date.

3. Having considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner, ends of justice would be served if the writ petition is disposed of with direction to the competent authority that in the event the petitioner prefers fresh representation on the subject matter within a period of one month from today, the competent authority shall consider and decide the same at the earliest, preferably within a period of six months from the date of submission of representation.

4. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the respondent authorities shall decide the matter, on its own merits, strictly in accordance with law, without treating any observation made in this order, as opinion on the merits of the case.
