1. The grievance of the Petitioner in the present Petition is that she is working as Assistant Teacher (Panchayat) for the last 17 years but she has not yet been considered for promotion.
2. According to the Counsel for the Petitioner, large number of vacancies to the
next promotional post are lying vacant in the department. It is only on account of the inaction on part of the Respondent authority that the Petitioner is being denied promotion.
3. According to the Petitioner, a similar Writ Petition, WPS No. 3091/2016 came up for hearing before this Court and this Court has on 22.07.2016 already disposed off the said writ petition directing the Respondents to consider and decide the representation made by the Petitioner within a period of 6 six months by passing a speaking order from the date of receipt of the representation.
4. At this juncture, Counsel for the Petitioner submits that till date the Petitioner has not submitted her representation. He further prays that subject to the Petitioner making a representation before the concerned authority within a period of 4 weeks from today the present Petition may also be disposed of in similar terms as ordered in WPS No. 3091/2016 on 22.07.2016.
5. The State Counsel does not oppose the said prayer of the Petitioner.
6. Accordingly, it is ordered that if the Petitioner makes a representation within a period of 4 weeks from today, the concerned authorities shall consider and decide the representation by passing a speaking order so far as the claim of the Petitioner is concerned within a period of six months from the date of receipt of representation purely in accordance with the rule governing the field.
