Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that petitioner's application for issuance of caste certificate is pending before respondent No. 2 which has not considered and decided till date. 2.

Learned State counsel would submit that petitioner's application would be considered and decided within a further period of three months from today.

Be that as it may, respondent No. 2 is directed to consider and decide petitioner's application within three months from today by passing a reasoned and speaking order. Petitioner is at liberty to proceed further in accordance with law. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter.

With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No cost(s).
