Section 323 of the Indian Penal Code provides for imposition of maximum fine of Rs.1,000/-. Therefore, the typographical error crept in paragraph 7 of the order dated 24.6.2019 passed in Criminal Revision No.391 of 2013 is corrected. As regards enhancement of fine for the offence under Section 323 of the Indian Penal Code, the relevant content of paragraph 7 of the order dated 24.6.2019 is modified. In place of the enhancement of fine to Rs.10,000/-, amount of Rs.1,000/- be read for the offence under Section 323 of the Indian Penal Code.
