1. The limited grievance of the petitioner is the inaction on the part of the respondent No. 2 in taking a decision on the claim of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment.

2. The petitioner have moved an application for compassionate appointment on the death of the father, who died in harness on 26.04.2021.

Considering the short duration of time that has passed after the petitioner has moved his application, the present writ petition as of now is disposed of directing the respondent No. 2 to take an appropriate decision on the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
