1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the amount due to the petitioner and payable to him in Contract / Package No.CG 10-33 has been withheld on the ground that amount relating to certain other contracts is payable to the respondent Department. He further submits that withholding of the amount payable to the petitioner in respect of the present contract in question on the aforesaid ground is not permissible in view of the order passed by this Court in the matter of Shree

Construction v. State of Chhattisgarh and others1.

Be that as it may, the petitioner is at liberty to make a representation to the respondents within two weeks from today along with a copy of the order passed in the aforesaid case (supra) and in turn, the respondent authorities would take decision on the petitioner's representation, in accordance with law, within another two weeks from the date of receipt of the said representation.

3. With the aforesaid direction, the petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
