Hon'ble Shri Justice P. Sam Koshy Order on Board 02.11.2020
1. The limited relief sought for by the petitioner in the present writ petition is for a direction to the respondent No.1 to consider the representation made by the petitioner before the respondent No.1 for correction of his date of birth in the class 10th marksheet issued by the respondent No.1.
2. According to the petitioner, his date of birth is 04.06.1969 which inadvertently in the Class 10th marksheet has been reflected as 04.06.1966. According to the petitioner, he has time and again approached the respondent authorities for correction of the same but till date no proper response has been received from the respondent No.1 in this regard.
3. Given the limited relief that the petitioner has sought for, let the petitioner make a fresh representation to the respondent No.1 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order and the respondent
-2No.1 may consider and decide the same in accordance with rules and guidelines governing the correction of date of birth in the marksheet at the earliest preferably within a period of 120 days from the date of receipt of representation.
