1. The limited prayer that the petitioner makes in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondent No. 1 to decide the departmental appeal pending before the Respondent No. 1 -the Appellate Authority since 2017.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that working on the post of General Mazdoor, the services of the petitioner was terminated vide order dated 16.05.2017 by an order passed by the respondent No. 3.

3. Aggrieved of the said order of termination, the petitioner has preferred an appeal to the respondent No. 1 Appellate Authority on 19.08.2017. However, the appeal till date is pending consideration

-2before the authorities without a decision. Therefore the present writ petition has been filed seeking for appropriate relief in this regard.

4. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent No. 1-Appellate Authority to take a decision on the appeal of the petitioner, if it has till date not been decided, within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
