(2) Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the trial of Special Criminal Case (P.C. Act) No.03/2007 (State Vs. Ashok Kumar Dwivedi) is pending before the Special Judge (Prevention of Corruption Act), Korba since 09.07.1996 and, therefore, direction may be issued to decide the same expeditiously. (3) After hearing learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and considering the fact that trial is pending for more than 19 years, I deem it appropriate to direct the Special Judge (Prevention of Corruption Act), Korba to consider and conclude the trial of Special Criminal Case (P.C. Act) No.03/2007 (State Vs. Ashok Kumar Dwivedi) as early as

possible preferably within a period of five months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and to submit a compliance report before this Court immediately, thereafter.

(4) With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
