1. The applicant has preferred this application for grant of bail as he is arrested in connection with Crime No.236/2017 registered in Police Station Kota, District Bilaspur for offence under Section 20 (B)(ii-C) of the NDPS ACT.

2. Although the applicant was found in possession of 2.36 quintals 900 grams of Ganja when the vehicle bearing registration No.MP-65/C0460 driven by him was intercepted by the concerned police, it is to be seen that co-accused Maiku Yadav, who was sitting in the same vehicle along with the applicant, has already been released on bail by the coordinate Bench of this Court in MCRC No.2693/2020, decided

MCRC No. 7225 of 2020 on 4.8.2020 on the ground that he is in jail since 21.8.2017 i.e. for about 3 years and trial is likely to take some more time to conclude, I am inclined to release the present applicant on bail, as he is also in jail since 21.8.2017.

3. Accordingly, the application is allowed and the applicant is directed to be released on bail on his executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.50,000/- with one surety for the like amount to the satisfaction of the trial Court. He is directed to appear before the trial Court on each and every date given by the said Court.
