Shri Satish Gupta, Govt. Advocate Hon'ble Shri Justice P. Sam Koshy Order On Board 04/07/2017 Present writ petition is filed seeking for a limited direction to respondent No.2 to decide Second Appeal of the petitioner pending before respondent No.2 since 24/12/2016.

The petitioner was punished by the disciplinary authority on 25/03/2014. The said order was challenged in First Appeal before AIG / respondent No.3 who had partly allowed the appeal and reduced the punishment vide order dated 22/07/2015. This order of the AIG has been challenged in Second Appeal under Para 262 of Police Regulations before respondent No.2 on 24/12/2016. However,
the said appeal is still pending consideration before respondent No.2 and no decision has been taken. The limited prayer of the petitioner is to give a suitable direction to respondent No.2 to decide the appeal at the earliest. 3.
This prayer of the petitioner is not opposed by the State Counsel. 4.
Accordingly, this petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the appeal of the petitioner within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
