The petitioners have preferred this writ petition for a direction to the SDO (Revenue), Janjgir to issue permanent Caste Certificate to the petitioners on the basis of fair enquiry proceedings. 2.

Documents annexed with the writ petition would not reveal that the petitioners have moved any such application before the SDO

(Revenue), Janjgir under the Chhattisgarh Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Regulation of Social Status Certification) Act, 2013 for issuance of permanent Caste Certificate, therefore, for the present, it is not possible to issue any direction to the concerned SDO (Revenue). 3.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners may be permitted to move such application before the concerned SDO (Revenue) and the said Officer be directed to decide the application at the earliest. 4.

In view of the statement made, the petitioners are permitted to withdraw the present writ petition with liberty to pursue the application, if they have moved any such application, or to present fresh application before the concerned SDO (Revenue) within a period of one month from today. If such application is made, the concerned SDO (Revenue) shall decide the same, at the earliest, preferably within a period of 3 months. 5.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with the above observation.
