Hon'ble Shri Justice Sharad Kumar Gupta Order On Board 02.08.2018

1. The petitioner has preferred this writ petition seeking the relief to direct respondent authorities to consider his case for promotion on the post of Head Constable w.e.f. 29.12.2006.

2. The petitioner is working as Head Constable (Telecom) and posted at Office of Superintendent of Police, Gariyaband, District Gariyaband.

3. Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the instant writ

petition may be disposed off directing respondent No.2 to decide the petitioner's representation dated 28.10.2006 (Annexure P-5) within a stipulated time.

4. Looking to the facts and circumstances of the case and submission made by the counsel for the petitioner, the instant writ petition is disposed of with this direction that the respondent No.2 shall decide the pending representation of the petitioner dated 28.10.2006 (Annexure P-5) expeditiously preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order in accordance with law and procedure.

5. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
