2. The instant contempt petition appears to have been filed for an order whereby the representation of the petitioners was directed to be decided within a period of four weeks. The order was passed on 04.02.2011 in WPS No.681 of 2011. As per Section 20 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 it provides that no court shall initiate any proceedings of contempt, either on its own motion or otherwise, after the expiry of a period of one year from the date on which the contempt is alleged to have been committed. The instant contempt petition appears to have been filed on 06.08.2018 i.e. after 7 years, therefore, the contempt petition has no merits. It is accordingly, dismissed. Sd/- Goutam Bhaduri Judge Ashu
