1. The petitioner has filed this petition with a prayer to quash order dated 13.12.2016 and direction for reinstatement.

2. However, today during the course of hearing, learned counsel for the

petitioner submits that after filing of this petition, a correspondence has been made by the Chief Municipal Officer of Municipal Council, Mahasamund on 31.08.2017 through the Director, Department of Urban Administration and Development, seeking sanction of Additional post to facilitate reinstatement of the petitioner upon his acquittal.

3. Considering the aforesaid submission and the development, I am not inclined to keep this matter pending at this stage, this petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2 to take appropriate decision on communication dated 31.08.2017 within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. In case, the petitioner's grievance is not redressed, it would be open for the petitioner to revive this petition.

4. The petition is accordingly disposed off.
