1. The grievance of petitioner in the present writ petition seems to be the non-granting of House Rent Allowance (in short "HRA") to the petitioner.

2. According to the petitioner, she has been staying in a private residence while working under the respondents. In spite of the fact

that the petitioner was residing in a private residence, she has not been paid house rent allowance. According to the petitioner, since her husband also is working under the respondents, he had also claimed for government accommodation commensurate to the entitlement of her husband but the same has also not been materialized till date.

Considering the aforesaid factual matrix of the case, this Court is of the opinion that the entire writ petition itself can be disposed of directing the respondents 2 to 4 to take an appropriate decision on the claim of petitioner for grant of HRA at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that the claim of petitioner has to be decided strictly in accordance with the quarter allotment rules and also the rules governing the field of House Rent Allowance.
