Hon'ble Shri Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava Order On Board 26/09/2017 The grievance, as ventilated through this petition is that the petitioner exhibited extra ordinary bravery during anti-naxalite operations and qualified for out of turn promotion under the existing policy. This scheme for promotion was duly recommended by the superior and high level authorities of the police department, but till date, no orders have been passed though the other two similarly situated police officers have been benefited by out of turn promotion. It is found that the petitioner has made representation on 06/09/2017 which is pending consideration.

Learned State counsel would submit that the pending case of the petitioner

shall be duly scrutinized and examined in the light of prevailing policy of grant of out of turn promotion.

In that view of the matter, this case need not be kept pending and is accordingly disposed off with a direction to the respondents to scrutinize petitioner's case for grant of out of turn promotion in accordance with the existing policy. The decision be taken in the matter preferably within a period of three months from today.
