1. The limited grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is the non deciding of the application for renewal of the regular stage carriage permit application which is pending consideration before respondents since 11.08.2020 and which as per the rules governing the field the application ought to have been decided within 60 days.

2. Counsel for the petitioner submits that even after the respondents grants the permit, it would go for the counter signature of the counterpart at the other end which may further take some time and this may further cause loss to the petitioner in operating his business.

3. Learned Additional AG appearing for the State does not oppose the limited prayer that the petitioner has for an early decision to be taken by respondent.

4. Given the said facts and also taking into consideration the statutory requirement of the application to have been decided within 60 days, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondents to take a decision on the said application dated 11.08.2020 within a period of 14 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to intimate the order of this court to the respondent.
