The claim of the petitioner in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondents to process the claim for settling the pensionary benefits and post retiral benefits immediately upon his retirement.

According to the petitioner, he on attaining the age of superannuation

-2is going to retire from service on 30.09.2021 and therefore the petitioner had approached the authorities for early process of his post retiral benefits and also for obtaining all necessary clearance to avoid unnecessary hardship towards the petitioner in the course of settlement of post retirement dues.

Meanwhile, it is reflected that the respondent authorities have already issued the petitioner with a show cause notice on 27.08.2021 and have called upon the petitioner to submit his reply, which it appears that the petitioner has till date not submitted. 4.

Given the said facts, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of permitting the petitioner to give a reply to Annexure P/3 and on such reply being made the respondent authorities shall immediately consider the same and take an appropriate decision immediately on the petitioner submitting his explanation. The respondent authorities shall also consider settlement of post retirement dues payable to the petitioner in accordance with the rules subject to the outcome of the show cause notice at the earliest immediately after the retirement of the petitioner.

With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
