1. The petitioner's grievance is that while fixing his pension, grade pay has been lowered from Rs.4200/- to Rs.2800/-, whereas other similarly situated employees have been granted grade pay of Rs.4200/-, which has resulted in an illegal reduction of petitioner's pension.

2. The documents which have been filed by the petitioner along with the

-2petition, prima facie indicate that the petitioner was enjoying grade pay of Rs.4200/- at the time of his retirement. Therefore, it would be appropriate to direct respondent No.5 to examine the petitioner's claim in accordance with the rules applicable in the matter of fixation of pension and decide the same within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
