By this petition, the petitioner has assailed the legality and validity of the Students' Union Election of Government Dau

Kalyan Arts & Commerce Post Graduate College, Baloda Bazar, District Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara, conducted on 26-8-2016.

The petitioner has alternative remedy of raising an election dispute before the Dispute Redressal Committee ('the Committee' henceforth) constituted under clause 21 of Ordinance 1 of the Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur.

In view of availability of alternative remedy, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction that if the petitioner avails the alternative remedy within a period of 10 days from today, the Committee shall consider and decide the dispute after hearing all the concerned parties, in accordance with law and on its own merits, within a further period of six weeks. 4.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the Committee shall decide the dispute, on its own merits, strictly in accordance with law, without treating any observation made in this order, as opinion on the merits of the case.
