1. The grievance of petitioner in the present writ petition is the inaction on the part of the respondents in not permitting the petitioner for changing her name in the service record including PRAN number.
2. The case of petitioner is that her husband late Pardeshi Ram Dhruv was working as a Teacher in government school at Borsi who died in harness on 14.11.2019. Before marriage the name of petitioner was Pinki D/o Hiralal Dhruv. Subsequent to her marriage with Pardeshi Ram Dhruv the petitioner changed her name as Madhulata Dhruv in stead of Pinki. After the death of the employee, the petitioner moved an application for compassionate and the same stood allowed vide order dated
15.03.2021. That the petitioner was given appointment to the post of Peon which the petitioner immediately joined and was discharging her duties. However, subsequently, the respondent authorities now have stopped the wages to the petitioner on the ground that there is some discrepancies in the name of petitioner as her name according to the respondents is Pinki whereas in the appointment order her name has been reflected as Madhulata.
3. The contention of petitioner is that Pinki was her maiden name and post marriage she has changed her name from Pinki to Madhulata. Therefore, the respondent authorities should immediately take steps for necessary correction to be made in the service records and also ensure that the salary part of petitioner be released forthwith.
4. State counsel, on the other hand, submits that the representation of petitioner Annexure P-7 is pending consideration before the respondent authorities and therefore, the authorities may be directed to take a decision on the said representation.

Given the limited relief that the petitioner seeks for, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondent no.2 to take an appropriate decision on the representation of petitioner so far as the dispute pertaining to the name of petitioner is concerned. Subject to the petitioner furnishing the relevant documents and affidavit stating that her maiden name was Pinki and post marriage she has changed her name from Pinki to Madhulata, the respondent authorities shall take all necessary steps for releasing the dues payable to petitioner forthwith.
