1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is the inaction on the part of the respondents in not granting joining to the petitioner after having remained absent from the duty on considerable period of time on medical ground.

2. Petition would show that there are correspondences made by the higher authority in the department permitting the petitioner to resume his duties subject to his furnishing of affidavit of his not being employed elsewhere

-2during the period of absence. The petitioner has also tendered his affidavit and also given his to the department, yet he is not being permitted to resume his duties.

Given the aforesaid factual matrix as it stands, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondent no.2 to 5 to immediately take necessary steps in so far as granting the joining to the petitioner in accordance with the rules governing the field forthwith within an outer limit of 30 days from the date of reciept of this order.

4. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion so far as the period of absence is concerned, the department would have the liberty to take appropriate steps on the administrative side in accordance with the rules governing the field.

With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
