2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that while the petitioner was working on the post of Inspector in Police Station Baloda, District Janjgir Champa, he was subjected to departmental enquiry and was awarded punishment of

stoppage of one increment with cumulative effect for one year by order dated 27-6-2017 (Annexure P/2). Against the said order, the petitioner has preferred an appeal under Police Regulations before respondent No.2 - Director General of Police on 8-11-2019 by (Annexure P/3). It is further contended that the petitioner has limited prayer to the effect that respondent No.2 - Director General of Police may be directed to consider and decide the appeal preferred by the petitioner within a stipulated period.

3. Learned State counsel does not have any objection to the prayer made by the petitioner.

4. Considering the fact that the petitioner has already preferred an appeal on 8-11-2019 (Annexure P/3) before respondent No.2 which is still pending consideration, it is directed that respondent No.2 - Director General of Police shall consider and decide the appeal preferred by the petitioner within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above observation/direction, this writ petition stands finally disposed of.
