The applicant has moved this application under Section 439 of the Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail in connection with Crime No.188/2016 registered at Police Station Sirgitti, District Bilaspur for the offence punishable under Section 363, 366 & 376 of IPC, Section 3 & 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. The applicant has been arrested on 17-06-2016.

At the outset, learned counsel for the applicant submits that the bail application has been filed only on the ground of delay.

It is found that the trial is pending for the last seven months and till date, no witness has been examined. The Trial Court shall expedite the hearing. In case, the trial is not concluded within a reasonable period, the applicant would be at liberty to revive his application.

In the result, the application is rejected.
