Shri CJK Rao, Advocate Hon'ble Shri Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava Order On Board 03/08/2018 The petitioner alleges willful disobedience of order dated 03/01/2018 passed in WPS No.7165/2017. This Court finds that the respondents were obliged under the said order to examine the case of the petitioner and grant benefit. However, till date, no decision has been taken.

Even if there is no time bound direction by this Court, the order of the Court is required to be complied with within a reasonable time. More than six months have elapsed which shows that within a reasonable time, no decision has been taken. Therefore, there appears to be a case of disobedience. However, before initiating contempt proceedings, one last opportunity of 30 days is granted to the respondent to comply with the order, failing which, this Court would be constrained to initiate contempt proceedings.

A copy of this order be sent to the respondent. If the order of this Court is not complied with within 30 days, the petitioner would be at liberty to revive this petition.

The contempt petition is closed.
