The limited relief that the Petitioner has sought for in the present Writ Petition is for an appropriate direction to Respondent No.5 to take a decision on the Mercy Appeal that the Petitioner has preferred in the light of the observations made by this Court in an earlier round of litigation, i.e., WPS No. 3772/2012. 2.

Given the limited relief that the Petitioner has sought for, the present Writ Petition is being disposed of directing the Respondent No.5 to take a decision on the Mercy Appeal of the Petitioner at the earliest, in accordance with the rules and regulations governing the filed, preferably within a period of sixty days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
