1. The relief sought in the present writ petition is for a direction to the respondents for ensuring that the Group Gratuity payable to the petitioner on his superannuation may be paid without any delay.

2. Perusal of the pleadings of the writ petition itself would show that the petitioner is still in service and will attain the age of superannuation only in September, 2019.

Unless the petitioner stands superannuated and there is a delay on the part of the respondents in releasing gratuity/group gratuity as the case may be, the petitioner as

on date, does not have any grievance or cause of action for this Court to issue an appropriate writ.

3. Reserving the right of the petitioner to prefer a petition if the respondents fail to discharge their statutory obligation, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
