The limited prayer which the petitioner has made is that his application for grant of compassionate appointment has been forwarded to the higher authorities by the respondent No.2, but no decision has been taken on the said letter. He prays for a direction to the respondents to take a decision on the said claim of the petitioner within a stipulated period. 2.

Prayer is not opposed by the respondents.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2 to take a decision on the application of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment in accordance with scheme for compassionate appointment applicable at the relevant point of time. 4.
