1. The grievance of the petitioners, in all the four writ petitions, primarily seems to be the inaction on the part of the respondents in not making the appropriate appointment of the Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority, Raipur as is required under Chapter 8 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation & Resettlement Act, 2013.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the State submits that in an identical matter i.e., WPC No. 2300 of 2020, as per the direction of this Court, an affidavit of the Chief Secretary of the State has been filed and in the affidavit of the Chief Secretary, it has been pointed out that the process has been initiated for filling up of the said post and the appointment would be made at the earliest.
3. This fact is not disputed by the counsel for the petitioner who himself is representing the petitioner in WPC No. 2300 of 2020.
4. Given the said affidavit of the Chief Secretary filed in WPC No. 2300 of 2020, the present writ petitions, in the opinion of this Court, need not be kept pending and the same accordingly stand disposed off, expecting the State authorities to take a decision for filling up of the said post at the earliest, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this Order.
5. With the aforesaid direction, the present writ petitions stand disposed off. Sd/- P. Sam Koshy Judge Khatai
