Sam Koshy Order On Board 08/05/2017 The present application under Section 438 of Cr.P.C. has been filed seeking for grant of anticipatory bail to the applicant apprehending his arrest in connection with Crime No.337/2016 registered at P.S. City Kotwali, District Baloda Bazar - Bhatapara (CG) for the offence punishable under Section 498A/34 of IPC The present applicant is the husband of complainant Ankitamani Tripathi (Pandey). The allegation against the applicant is that right from the date of marriage, he has been pressurizing the family members of the complainant for providing more and more dowry.

From the documents enclosed with the case diary it is reflected that father of the complainant has already deposited more than rupees fifteen lakhs in the bank account of the applicant as dowry yet the applicant used to ill-treat the complainant demanding more dowry.

Accordingly, the instant application filed under Section 438 CrPC stands rejected.
