1. Instant petition is filed in the back drop of the fact that the grand father of the petitioner has deposited Rs.12,000/- with the Municipal Corporation to get a land in his name in the year 2001. Subsequently, he died and nothing could transpire. Eventually in the year 2013 Municipal Corporation agreed to transfer the registration in the name of the petitioner.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner may be granted some land as per the policy of the Municipal Corporation.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the Municipal Corporation opposes the argument.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner at this stage submits that he may be allowed to withdraw this petition with liberty to avail the appropriate remedy available under the common law.

5. Considering the submission of the petitioner and the documents, petition is dismissed as withdrawn with a liberty to the petitioner to approach appropriate forum.
