1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition seems to be the non-implementation of the promotion order dated 25.05.2016 whereby the petitioner was promoted from the post of Assistant Sub Inspector (MT) to Sub Inspector (MT).

2. According to the petitioner, his promotion order was passed on 25.05.2016 but till date he has not been relieved enabling him to join the promoted post and for which the petitioner has been put to a great loss. It is the further contention of the petitioner that on an earlier occasion, there was an order of relieving the petitioner on 07.06.2016

which was subsequently cancelled by the respondents on 14.06.2016. Thereafter, the petitioner has not been relieved and he is still compelled to discharge his duties on the post of ASI though he has a promotion order to the post of Sub Inspector that was issued for more than 4 years ago.

Given the limited grievance that the petitioner has, this Court is of the opinion that ends of justice would meet if the writ petition is disposed of at this juncture permitting the petitioner to make a detailed representation in addition to the representations that he has already made, to the respondent no.2 within a period of 2 weeks from today. On making such representation by the petitioner, the respondent no.2 is directed to consider the same on its own merits at the earliest preferably within a further period of 60 days from the date of receipt of the representation of the petitioner.
