1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition primarily seems to be inaction on the part of the respondents in not making the appropriate appointment under the Land Acquisition Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority, Raipur as is required under Chapter 8 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation & Resettlement Act, 2013.

The counsel appearing for the State submits that an identical matter i.e., WPC No. 2300 of 2020 is pending and as per the direction of this Court an affidavit of the Chief Secretary of the State was filed and in the affidavit of the Chief Secretary, it has been pointed out as regards the process initiated for filling up of the said post and the appointment would be made at the earliest.

3. This fact is not disputed by the counsel for the petitioner who himself is representing the petitioner in WPC No. 2300 of 2020.

4. Given the said affidavit of the Chief Secretary in the aforesaid WPC No. 2300 of 2020, the writ petition in the opinion of this Court need not be kept pending and the same accordingly stands disposed off, expecting the State authorities to take a decision for filling up of the said post at the earliest, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this Order.

5. With the aforesaid direction, the present writ petition stands disposed off.
