Hon'ble Shri Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal Order On Board 04/09/17 The writ petition has been filed calling in question the legality of the order dated 20.06.2016 passed by the Joint Collector, Lok Seva Kendra, Raipur whereby the petitioner's application for issuance of Permanent Caste Certificate has been rejected.

On the other hand, learned State counsel would submit that such an order of Joint Collector is appealable before the District Collector under the notification No. F13-23/2012/R.C./1-3 issued by the State Government under The Chhattisgarh Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward

Classes (Regulation of Social Status Certification), Rules, 2013. 3.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties. 4.

The petitioner having alternative and effacious remedy is at liberty to file an appeal before the District Collector within two weeks from today. If such an appeal is preferred by the petitioner than the Appellate Authority shall consider and decide the same within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
