1. The limited grievance that the petitioner has raised in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondents 2 to 4 for taking an appropriate decision on the claim of petitioner for being considered for promotion from Class-IV to Class-III post.
2. According to the petitioner, she has been working on the post of Peon since 2010 having got an employment on compassionate basis. The
contention of petitioner is that as of now she has all the requisite qualification, experience and eligibility criteria for promotion from the post of Peon to the post of Assistant Grade-III and she has also made repeated requests in this regard to the authorities in the department but till date her claim has not been considered.
3. Considering the limited grievance that the petitioner has, this Court is of the opinion that the writ petition as of now can be disposed of directing the respondents 2 to 4 to take an appropriate decision on the claim of petitioner for considering filling up of the vacancies which could be filled up from among Class-IV category employees working in the same department by way of promotion in terms of the service rules governing the field of promotion from Class-IV to Class-III cadre. Let an appropriate decision be taken at the earliest preferably within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
