1. The petitioner in the present writ petition is working on the post of Assistant Nursing Superintendent. The petitioner was substantively holding the post known as Matron. According to the petitioner, the Brahmaswroop Committee have recommended a particular pay scale to the Matrons which has not been granted to the petitioner till date. According to the petitioner, she is substantively a Matron and the nomenclature of the said post has been changed to Assistant Nursing Superintendent. It is the further contention of petitioner that the pay scale as recommended by Brahmaswroop Committee has been made

applicable in the Department of Medical Services but the same has been declined in the Medical Education Department. The further grievance of petitioner is that in spite of various repeated representations that the petitioner has made, the same till date have not been finalized.

Given the limited grievance that the petitioner has and at the request of the petitioner, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondents 1 & 2 to take an appropriate decision on the representation of petitioner in accordance with the circulars issued by the Department in respect of Assistant Nursing Superintendents, if any or Matrons as the case may be, at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner would also be entitled to make a fresh representation along with all relevant records in support of their contentions.
