The claim of the petitioner in the present writ petition is the inaction on the part of the respondents in not considering the claim for compassionate appointment of the petitioner.

The facts of the case is that the husband of the petitioner was working as a Lecturer (Panchayat) under the respondent No.5 and was posted at the High School, Kullujangari. The husband of the petitioner died in harness on 24.01.2018. The petitioner thereafter moved an application for

-2compassionate appointment on 26.03.2018, but till date the application has not been decided by the respondents.

Given the limited grievance that the petitioner has, this Court is of the opinion that ends of justice would meet if the writ petition itself is disposed of with a direction to the respondents No.3 to 5 to take appropriate steps so far as the claim for compassionate appointment of the petitioner is concerned. While considering the same, the authorities are expected to take into consideration the fact that the petitioner is a widow and her claim for compassionate appointment is decided at the earliest. 4.

Let a decision be taken by the respondents No.3 to 5 within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to apprise the respondents No.3 to 5 so far as the order passed by this Court is concerned. 5.

With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed off.
