1. This is an application filed under Section 439 of the Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail to the applicants, who have been arrested in connection with Crime No.479/2020, registered at Police Station Basna, District-Mahasamund C.G. for the offence punishable under Section 20(b) of the NDPS Act.

2. As per the prosecution case, the present applicants were found in illicit possession of 5 kg 200 gm of cannabis (ganja) when they were intercepted and a search was made of the motorcycle in which they were traveling.

3. Learned State counsel would oppose the prayer for grant of bail.

4. Considering the quantity of contraband recovered from the applicants; they are in jail since 10.10.2020 and also for the fact that charge-sheet has already been filed, I am inclined to release the applicants on bail.

5. Accordingly, the application is allowed and the applicants are directed to be released on bail on each of them executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.50,000/- with one surety for the like amount to the satisfaction of the trial Court. They are directed to appear before the trial Court on each and every date given by the said Court.
